Raphael's Birthday.
We celebrated it at the very beautiful, very unique restaurant, SONYA'S GARDEN. It was Raphael's surprise.
He initially planned a breakfast date pero dahil late na, lunch nalang. It's not the typical restaurant where you sit, get an actual menu, think of what you'll have, order, eat. ..at Sonya's, you sit and wait for everything to be served.

It started off with the salad. (You can see all these at their website)
Unang kita ko, nag-alangan ako. Ang nasa isip ko nalang, nakupo puro green at kung anu-anong hindi ko alam! Ahhaha! Pero nako, masarap!! I loooved the broad beans.
Para kaming nasa cooking show. Lahat nasa kaña-kañang lalagyan. Ikaw bahala kung ano ilalagay mo. And while munching on the fresh lettuce with langka, egg, broad beans, etc., ..dumating ang mainit na mainit pang whole wheat bread kasama ang iba-ibang palaman. Favorite ko? White cheese & fresh pesto. Step aside, Wolfgung Puck! Unang part pa lang yan, pero solb na.

Next was the pasta at iba-ibang sauce — Chicken cream thing, Ratatouille!!, Salmon, etc. ..Masarap pero di ko na masyadong na-enjoy dahil nabusog ako dun sa salad at bread.
Lastly, dessert was served. Napaka-sosing Kamote-Q at Mini Turon with a tiny tiny slice of chocolate cake (mas malaki pa ata yung mini turon.)

Verdict? 10 out of 10!

I totally recommend the place. We will be back.

MOVIE TIME!

_____Enjoyed our free movie passes with officemates + Mama & Lei.
..Maganda sya. Masaya. =) Buti kasama sa pinalabas dahil walang ibang movie na sa palagay ko ay OK para kay Lei. The Secret of Moonacre for Lei?? I don't think so. baka biglang maglalakad-lakad yan sa loob ng cinema sa sobrang kabagutan. Ehehe!

Ang comment ni Lei, si Bugsy (the wide-eyed guinea) ang gusto ña. Sya pa nga raw si Bugsy. But as per projects team na andon, ..si Estee raw yon! Ahahhaa! Labyu, Estee! :D






Pagkauwe at pagkahiga, at last, a time to watch a movie from my iPod. napupuno hard drive ko sa kaka-download lang, hindi ko naman napapanood. And since Aimee loved and recommended this movie, aba ay pinanood ko nga.

All I can say is, ....MAGANDA!!
Ang galing mo Mee! Ang ganda nga boi! ..Mejo mahaba at sobrang maraming parts na akala mo, yun na yon, OK na, happy na, pero hindi pa pala! It's a 2½-hour-long-dramatic/romantic/mejo comedic/history-oriented-movie. Nagustuhan ko sya. If ever you get the chance to catch it (well sa DVD nalang), do.




..And speaking of movies, last night napalipat ako sa HBO. Ang palabas: Are We Done Yet?
Have you seen it? Kung hindi pa, spare yourself the trouble. Kung ayaw mong mabastos ang talino mo, talino ng isang tao in general, Huwag.Mo.Nang.Panooren.Period.

Kumbaga parang kating-kati lang gumawa ng movie tong mga to na sinulat, dinirect, at ni-release nila to PARA LANG MERON.

Malamang wala kang idea kung tungkol saan to (dahil sa sobrang PANGET, hindi talaga sumikat.) Well, if I'm not mistaken Part 2 to ng "Are We There Yet?" (ang tigas noh? pumart 2 pa!)
Basically, si Ice Cube, inasawa nya yung babae na may dalawang mga bastos na anak.. tas bumili ng bagong bahay para sa bagong buhay. Kalaunan, may problema sa bahay (literally), tas after non, may isa pa, and then isa pa na dumating sa point na sira sira na yung magandang bahay. And then isa pang problema, and.. do you think it stops there? Meron pang MGA problemang sumunod.

Parang Meet the Fockers kumbaga, super duper dumb version lang.
In other words, patapon.
Naiinis lang ako sa mga gantong movies. Sayang sa pera at higit sa lahat sayang sa oras. It's one of the worst movies I have ever seen. (hindi ko naumpisahan, at hindi katapos-tapos.)

Message to the writer: Uwi ka nalang. Magcross-stitch ka.
